NUI Alpha-Lipoic Acid 300 mg is a food supplement with alpha-lipoic acid. Each capsule contains 300 mg alpha-lipoic acid. The recommended daily dose is 1 capsule, so a pack of 60 capsules (53 g) lasts about two months. The EU has not set a nutrient reference value (NRV) for alpha-lipoic acid, which is why the table of ingredients shows a dash at this point.

What else is in the capsule

Besides the alpha-lipoic acid, the capsule contains rice flour (Oryza sativa) as a bulking agent. The capsule shell is made of hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC) instead of gelatine. There are no other ingredients, so no anti-caking agents and no preservatives. HPMC (E 464), however, is a food additive. For this reason the product does not carry the “free from additives” badge.
