NUI Curcumin 400 mg + Piperine is a food supplement with turmeric extract and piperine. Each capsule contains 569 mg turmeric extract and 5 mg piperine. The extract provides 541 mg curcuminoids, of which 400 mg curcumin. The recommended daily dose is one capsule, so a pack of 60 capsules lasts about two months.
What the extract contains
The extract carries the brand name CurQreal© and comes from the rhizome, i.e. the rootstock, of Curcuma longa. This is how it appears in the list of ingredients. Curcuminoids make up 95 % of the extract. Curcumin is one of these curcuminoids and is present at 400 mg per capsule – the figure you also see in the product name.
Piperine from black pepper
Each capsule also contains 5 mg piperine from black pepper (Piper nigrum). The EU has not authorised any health claims for turmeric extract or piperine and has not set a nutrient reference value (NRV) for them. That is why the table of ingredients shows a dash instead of a percentage. On this page we only describe what is in the capsule and how to take it.

The complete list of ingredients has three entries: turmeric extract, capsule shell and piperine. The shell is made of hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC) instead of gelatine, which is why the product is vegan. The capsule contains no anti-caking agents and no preservatives.
