NUI Vitamin D3 5.000 IU + K2 + Magnesium is a food supplement that you take once a week rather than every day. Each capsule contains 125 µg vitamin D3 (5,000 IU), 100 µg vitamin K2 and 112 mg magnesium. That is 2,500 %, 133 % and 30 % of the nutrient reference value (NRV). A jar holds 60 capsules (52 g) and lasts 60 weeks at 1 capsule every 7 days.
One capsule a week
According to the label, you take 1 capsule every 7 days and no more. The simplest way is to pick a fixed day of the week for it. Converted to a daily figure, the label states 18 µg vitamin D3 (357 % NRV). Do not take an extra capsule on the other days, and do not exceed the recommended dose.
Vitamin D and the authorised statements
The chemical name of vitamin D3 is cholecalciferol. The statements the EU has authorised for vitamin D are listed further up on this page. We use exactly these and no others. We make no health-related statements for vitamin K2 or magnesium on this page.
The three nutrients and their forms
The vitamin D3 is present as cholecalciferol. The vitamin K2 is contained in the capsule as menaquinone-7 in its all-trans form. The magnesium comes from anhydrous trimagnesium dicitrate, a compound of magnesium and citric acid. All three forms appear like this in the list of ingredients.
What else is in the capsule
Apart from the three nutrients, the capsule consists only of its shell made of hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC). No gelatine is used, and the product is vegan. Anti-caking agents and preservatives do not appear in the list of ingredients. In full, it reads: anhydrous trimagnesium dicitrate, capsule shell (hydroxypropyl methylcellulose), all-trans menaquinone-7, cholecalciferol.
