Zinc and vitamin C in one capsule

NUI Zinc 15 mg plus Vitamin C is a food supplement for every day. Each capsule contains 15 mg zinc and 100 mg vitamin C. That is 150 % and 125 % of the nutrient reference value (NRV). One capsule a day is enough, so a jar of 60 capsules lasts about two months.

Zinc, the trace element

Zinc is a trace element that you take in with your food. The statements the EU has authorised for zinc are listed further up on this page. We use exactly these and no others.

Zinc gluconate and ascorbic acid

The zinc is contained in the capsule as zinc gluconate, a compound of zinc and gluconic acid. The vitamin C is present as ascorbic acid. Both forms appear like this on the label and in the list of ingredients.

What else is in the capsule

Rice flour is included as a bulking agent. The capsule shell is made of hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC) instead of gelatine, which is why the product is vegan. The capsule contains no anti-caking agents and no preservatives.
