Four fruits, a short list of ingredients: the basis of NONI Original

Morinda citrifolia grows where most of us only ever go on holiday: in French Polynesia, on volcanic soils, in a climate that lets the fruit ripen all year round. People there have used the noni fruit for centuries – long before anyone had the idea of bringing it to Europe.

Where the journey begins

The fruit is harvested when it is ripe – not when the container schedule says so. Ripe noni has a pale, almost translucent skin and a smell that no one who has ever noticed it forgets. This very fruit is the starting point for everything that later ends up in the bottle.

Fermentation: time instead of additives

After harvesting, the fruit is processed into purée and fermented – a traditional process that has been used in Polynesia for generations. Fermentation needs one thing above all: time. No accelerators, no shortcuts. The fermented purée is the basis of NUI NONI Original and the reason for its characteristic taste.

A fruit that travels this far should still be itself when it arrives – otherwise it would not have needed the journey.

Arrival in Vorarlberg

Testing, bottling and shipping take place in Vorarlberg – in the Alpine Rhine Valley, right on the Swiss border. This is where the purée meets its companions: not-from-concentrate juices from red grape, pomegranate and blueberry, which give the intense noni note a frame. This is where every batch is laboratory-tested, where bottling takes place, and from here every bottle sets off on the last part of its journey – to you.

What “stays true to itself” means

It would be easy to hide the character of the fruit behind sweetness. We do the opposite: the noni note remains recognisable, the ingredient list stays short, and the label states exactly what is inside. Noni juice is authorised as a food in the EU, and the origin of our fruit is certified.
